About Alan Perez
Alan Perez is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as an expert in Civil Trial Law, a distinction held by less than 1% of Florida attorneys. He represents injury victims across Florida in cases involving auto accidents, semi-truck accidents, falls, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, and institutional child abuse. He's built a reputation in the courtroom for pairing thorough preparation with a clear, direct style of presenting evidence to juries.
Alan works closely with each client, taking the time to understand their story and using that personal investment to build strong, lasting advocacy. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the Federal Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2012.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Alan makes a point of ensuring language is never a barrier for the clients and families he represents. He is a graduate of St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, and earned his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio.
Outside the courtroom, Alan is active in both the legal community and Sarasota at large. He currently serves as the President of the Sarasota County Bar Association and holds leadership roles within the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court. In the past, he has served on the boards of directors for various organizations, including the Florida Justice Association and the American Red Cross (Southwest Florida Division). He has also volunteered his time on various Florida Bar, judicial, and fairness committees across the state.
Alan lives in Manatee County with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys waterfowl hunting and sports, and serving as a mentor to high school, college, and law school students.
